With the goal of reaching out to businesses in neighboring towns, The Holden Area Chamber of Commerce recently voted to change its name to the Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce. This move will expand the Chambers demographic reach to include Sterling and West Boylston along with the towns of Holden, Paxton, Princeton and Rutland.
With this change the Chamber will stay true to its mission to promote and enhance the business climate, develop a positive economic environment and contribute to the betterment of the community. The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce will remain an affiliate of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, enabling its members to enjoy the benefits of a close-knit community group and have full access to the resources of a larger regional organization.
Membership is diverse ranging from home-based businesses, small businesses located along the Main Streets of the towns to large corporations. This diversity brings vitality and strength to the Chamber’s programs, and supports the positive influence those programs have on the community.
