Holden Days Cancelled

May 20, 2020 | Holden Days

The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Holden Days, scheduled for August 22nd. Citing the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the board of directors voted to cancel the community event that draws thousands of visitors to Holden’s Main Street.

“This was not an easy decision to make,” said Executive Director Jen Stanovich. “This is the first time in 40 years that Holden Days has been cancelled. However, our priority is the health and safety of our community. Considering the importance of social distancing, the board concluded there is simply too much risk in having a gathering of this size.”

Holden Days will return on Saturday, August 28, 2021. “This tradition will continue,” said Stanovich. “We look forward to welcoming our loyal sponsors, vendors, entertainers and guests back next year!”
